What is the BEST Recipe for Olive Cheese Spread?

Olive cheese Spread recipe Ingredients on Wooden cutting board and olive cheese spread on white bread

So, full disclosure, you need to know about the beginning of my love affair with almost every olive nut cheese spread recipe. At the same time I started my very first job (a waitress at a local little dainty tea room) I knew nothing of olive cheese spread. It wasn’t the BEST experience, but all-in-all I got to try some great food. And I got to taste olive cheese spread for the first time! Spoiler alert: as a result, I became quite addicted to it!

Unsurprisingly, many ladies and retired folks would “lunch” together with each other there. Also, it was a hot spot for hosting bridal and baby showers. Not only did they serve hot and cold teas, but they served an impressive selection of salads, muffins, and desserts. Plus, the BEST cold sandwiches. And, it was here that I was introduced to something called “olive nut”.

Olive Nut Cream Cheese Spread

Cost $10

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Softened Cream Cheese
  • 2/3 Cup of Mayonnaise
  • 1 Cup of Chopped Pimento Stuffed Manzanilla Olives
  • 1 Cup of Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 Tsp of Brine from Olive Jar

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into mixing bowl and use a standing mixer or hand mixer to mix until creamy. Serve immediately or chill. May be served with raw veggies, on a bed of lettuce, with crackers or on a sandwich.

All in all, this recipe is super simple, but oh so delicious! And, it only takes 10 minutes or less to make with just 5 ingredients! While I recommend chilling it before serving, you can absolutely eat it right away. Because it’s great for finger sandwiches, I also recommend serving it at casual gatherings or afternoon showers and luncheons. With this purpose in mind, you can make them ahead and save time the day of your event!
