Easy Strawberry Jam for Bread Machine


  • Bread Machine with a Jam Setting


  • 2 lbs strawberries de-stemmed and quartered
  • 4 cups of white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of powdered pectin


  • Remove and discard the stems from strawberries and cut them into fourths.
  • Lightly mash in a bowl with a potato masher of fork.
  • Put contents of bowl, sugar and pectin in the bread machine pan and initiate the jam program setting.
  • Once complete, remove from bread machine and pour into a large container leaving to cool for at least an hour.
  • Once jam is cool enough, place in the fridge until jam has set (I made this in the evening so I left it in the fridge overnight and woke up to find it at the perfect consistency). Refrigerate and use for up to 7 days or freeze.
