Remove and discard the stems from strawberries and cut them into fourths.
Lightly mash in a bowl with a potato masher of fork.
Put contents of bowl, sugar and pectin in the bread machine pan and initiate the jam program setting.
Once complete, remove from bread machine and pour into a large container leaving to cool for at least an hour.
Once jam is cool enough, place in the fridge until jam has set (I made this in the evening so I left it in the fridge overnight and woke up to find it at the perfect consistency). Refrigerate and use for up to 7 days or freeze.
